REA solar has been working tirelessly to ensure that REA would lead the way in solar technology and innovation.  On September 19-22, 2022 Rea joined the biggest solar event in North America known as RE+ Renewing what’s possible at the Anaheim convention center in Anaheim, California. The Premier business-to-business events for professionals in the renewable energy sector and other related fields gathered a total of more than 28,000 attendees for the convention this year.  Working with our global partners to develop new solar power and battery storage technologies. We will certainly bring the world’s best technologies back to Australia for cleaner and more efficient solar technology.

More than 700 exhibitors joined and showcase their company. New advancement in renewable energy was displayed and a huge crowd was amazed by how fast technology developed over a short period of time.  The event also helps launch new start-up companies in the solar industry in North America. There are some eye-catching displays during the convention like the prototype of Edison Future EF1-T electric Solar Pickup Truck which some say may rival both designs from Cybertruck and Hummer. This EV was developed by a company called Solar4America. The current raising trend for electric cars in the United States prompted some states to announce a plan to phase out cars that uses fossil fuel by removing them from car dealerships in the coming years.  Another highlight that was talked about at the convention was the passing of the IRA also known as the Inflation Reduction Act which will benefit the solar and storage industries in the United States that will further help decarbonize the economy of the US by 2050.

The Solar energy technologies office of the United States Department of Energy,Manages the clean energy industry conference and some other workshops at the RE+ convention this year. The team from SETO was very interactive and participated in educating the crowd in most of the sessions for the convention. They are trying their best to push for a cheaper cost of technology, inspire innovation, and transition to a decarbonized power sector by 2035 in the US but similar measures are already being done in Australia according to the Ministry of Energy and there is a huge possibility that it will be sooner than the US plan date.

For this year’s convention, there are three main highlights of the show which are Energy management systems, Home Batteries, and Electric cars. The technological advancements of these three highlights made the convention more interesting and REA made sure to gather all new technologies available and bring them back to Australia.  In the coming months, you will already see the new technologies that we have collected at the RE+ convention 2022.
